# Tokenman help

Sign in, say in a chat what you need done, and a session does it and tells you when it is finished — on your computer or your phone. Find where to start by who you are.

## Use it

| You are | Start here |
|---|---|
| **A member**: you got an invite | [From first sign-in to your first session](member/quickstart.md) · then [Everyday use](member/usage.md) |
| **An admin**: people, subscriptions and quota | [Invite people, connect subscriptions, see usage](hosted/quickstart.md) · then [Admin handbook](admin/index.md) |
| **Continuing on your phone or another computer** | [Connecting from a computer or phone](member/connect.md) |

A few words:

- **Session**: an AI (Claude or Codex) doing the work for you. It keeps going when your computer is off.
- **Task**: one thing you asked for. One session per task; you are told when it is done.
- **Device**: the machine a session actually runs on. You don't pick it — Tokenman does.
- **Quota**: how much of the subscription is left in the 5-hour / 7-day windows. The admin sets each person's share.

## Self-host and develop

Want to run the whole thing on your own machines (entry, machines and subscriptions all yours)? This road is for self-hosting teams and developers: [Self-host · Quickstart](self-host/quickstart.md) · [Install and deploy](self-host/install.md) · [Security and isolation](security.md)
